Hello everyone

it’s me again
First off, I’m going to talk about this tank, which is the 12th one I’ve posted here and probably the 20th I’ve created overall.
It’s basically just the same tank, but with more armour and a long 100mm gun.

And that’s it.
It was introduced in 1945, at the end of the Second World War, in hopes of being able to destroy the Tiger II with little or no difficulty. This led to the development of the project in 1944, because although the M-17A tanks were very effective against almost all German tanks of the time, they had clear limits against the Tiger II, often getting torn apart by it from over 1.8 km away.

So, anticipating a longer war, the Allies designed this tank specifically to engage the Tiger II. But… by 1944, there weren’t many Tiger IIs left, and the only confirmed encounters between the Super Jaguar and the Tiger II took place in urban environments.

The Super Logan only got the chance to face the Tiger II ten times, suffering two defeats despite often having numerical superiority.
While the Super Jaguar was well-protected, it had several issues:

It was heavy — 56 tonnes, nearly 9 tonnes more than the regular version.

Its gun was extremely loud, produced a lot of smoke, and was simply too powerful for most of the opponents it faced.

The loader had to handle 24 kg shells, which were fired at poor little Panzers and other tanks.

The transmission struggled badly, as it wasn’t designed for that kind of weight.

And in the end, it was far too heavy for what it actually fought, since Tiger IIs were rare by then.

That said, one thing was certain — no other tank could penetrate it frontally.
The armour of the M-17A 87w was already enough to resist the Panzer, Tiger I, and Panthers. By the end of the war, most M-17s were either sold abroad or scrapped.
The M-17 100w was produced in 900 units, and only 12 remain in original condition today

the chassis look like one of the Soviet t34, but a bit wide and low profile while the turret is literally a panther turret
