The Scorpio is a point defence interceptor that was mounted via a crane onto a steam powered catapult launcher. Designed to launch from any location without the need for a runway it could intercept enemy aircraft before landing on a small grass strip, it would then be craned onto a truck to transport back to the launcher or another location as required.
IMPORTANT LAUNCH INSTRUCTIONS: Full throttle, AG1 for re-heat, AG2 to raise ramp and then AG3 to lauch. In HAF colour scheme to be different.
AG5 to drop tanks, LG for landing gear, TRIM for trim and VTOL to rotate laucher
Thanks to ChiChiWerx for his input, i did try everything you suggested but the higher the gradient of the launcher the more prone to exploding on launch.

@BogdanX thanks bog, it was more like the German f104 zero length launcher, the 104 needed tanks to keep it airborne long enough hence there addition. I did ponder removing them for a second set of sidewinders but I thought that was ott on armament. This link has some nice details and a video.
