KG S036 Sword High speed large destroyer

32.5k KGcheater  2.8 years ago

Sword is the most threatening destroyer I've ever built, with super high speed, super mobility and fierce firepower.

Let's see how to pilot this destroyer first.

Throttle:forward power
Brake:Slow down/back off
Yaw:yaw
AG1:Open the gate of the helicopter hangar
AG2:Activate port torpedo launcher
AG3:Activate starboard torpedo launcher
AG4:Activate port proximity gun
AG5:Activate starboard proximity gun
AG6:Activate the vertical launching shaft of air defense missile
AG7:Activate the vertical launching shaft of the surface to surface missile

Weapon configuration

Interceport×16
Guardian×16
Inferno×16
Cleaver×16
Torpedo×24
4 Proximity gun

Design concept

I started planning to build such a warship a few months ago. I had planned to install a telescopic mast for the ship, but I gave up because I didn't think it was necessary. Masts are not absolutely necessary for a warship. The surface of the ship is very smooth, and there is almost no object protruding from the hull. The missile launcher on the top of the ship is sunken into the hull. These designs make the ship look like a supersonic bomber without wings.

The ship's top design speed is 305 mph, exceeding the top speed of some civilian helicopters. In fact, I can make the ship run faster, but then I can't guarantee the safety when turning at high speed and the strength of the hull structure. The ship runs fast and has good maneuverability.

As far as I know, no ship in real life can reach such a high speed, so I didn't intend to learn from any ship in real life from the beginning. If you take a closer look at the appearance of this warship, you won't think of any warships in real life. In fact, it looks more like a supersonic stealth bomber.

On both sides of the ship are two projecting hulls with two turrets. Originally, I planned to install a telescopic turret on the top of the ship to solve the threat from all sides, but eventually I chose to install two turrets on the left and right sides of the ship. The advantage of this method is that the turret can be hit closer to the sea, which makes the operation of the turret easier and improves the structural strength of the hull. But the disadvantages are also obvious. These four turrets destroy the streamlined appearance of the ship and are one of the few surface protrusions on the ship.

If you often play games about naval battles, you must still remember the scene when the torpedo launcher was hit and killed. When I design stealth warships, I will try my best to put the torpedo launcher in the hull, so as to reduce the probability of their being hit. If the ship pursues stealth very much, I will also install a cover plate on the outside of the launcher to cover it when the torpedo launcher is not in use. The cover plate used on this ship uses a very cool way of opening and closing, but when it is opened, the ship experiences left and right swing. This kind of opening method would have been used on the Horizon destroyer that I once built, but the hull of that ship is higher and more unstable than that of the present one. The Sword hull is low and a catamaran. It is naturally stable. The swing of the cover plate will not affect the navigation of this ship.

When I go to build a ship, I will try my best to make it bigger. Of course, it won't be too big, so as not to miss the details. Because I like the grand feeling of warship, like a fortress floating on the sea. The ship is 37 meters wide and 180 meters long, which is relatively large among destroyers. This size makes the ship a little abrupt in some scenes of the game.

The front part of the river is too narrow, and it's easy to run aground. I'm very curious about how the ship can get to the sea from here? How do the ships in the sea get here?

Most of the ships I built have missile vertical silos, which are the most detailed of the missile vertical silos I have ever built. But it also cost me more than 600 parts for vertical silos alone. That's close to half of the ship's total number of parts. I can test the ship very normally before installing the missile vertical silo. After installing the missile silo, my equipment won't be able to run the ship. So in the construction process, I used four counterweights to replace these missile vertical silos. At the last moment before the completion of the ship, I really integrated the missile vertical silo with the ship.

I built a helipad at the stern of the ship and a small hangar at the stern. The hangar is only 5 meters wide and high, making it difficult to store the next military helicopter. But when I built them, I never thought the ship needed a helicopter. The advantage of military shipborne helicopter is its flexibility, but this warship has already run faster than some military helicopters.

Operational details

There are four torpedo launchers on the left and right sides of the warship, carrying 24 torpedoes. These torpedoes are the most powerful weapons on board the ship, but they also require some skill. If you often fly this ship, you should soon learn how to use the torpedo on this ship.

With the right maneuvers, the warship could destroy the carrier fleet near the Isle of Wight without using a single missile. Because you can only release a series of torpedoes at the highest speed and in the moment of skipping the side of the enemy ship, you can push them to the bottom of the sea.

Missiles from enemy warships are not a problem for this ship, because this warship has fierce protective firepower. When the missile strikes, you can easily intercept it by launching the proximity gun on the opposite side of the hull and strafing the incoming missile on the sea. Even if accidentally hit by a missile, the warship will not be seriously damaged, because the missile launched by the destroyer in the game is very small. The missile used by the destroyer in the game is used to attack the aircraft, not a warship twice as big as it.

For this warship, the real threat is those warships with a lot of artillery, because it does not have heavy armor. However, in the face of such an enemy, we can use missiles, which can avoid entering the range of artillery.

That's all I have to say about this ship. I really hope you like this boat. If you have any questions or suggestions about this warship, I hope you can let me know in the comments section. If you think I'm doing well, I hope you can give me support. All in all, enjoy the pleasure of driving this warship to the sea.

This is a really good ship. Was designed to work at 265 kts but can easily surge along at 273 kts. The weapons don’t work exactly how I would want but are still pretty neat. I really like this one in terms of performance and maneuverability but would prefer the saber in terms of firepower. Though I am just exploring the sword.
