@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation He mentioned that it was the only SPG to sink a ship. Which I then refer to the M2 Ballista, which as part of an improvised coastal artillery battery including fixed pieces and tanks during the Second Battle of Guadalcanal, sank the destroyer "Daring" (name was in Persian). "Boldness" was crippled by 8-inch guns, and scuttled in order to prevent them from slowing down a destroyer flotilla frequented by torpedo boats and submarines with skippers with the balls of steel needed to try their luck against a destroyer.

A battery of M2 Ballista 155mm SPG sunk a Persian Caliphate Navy destroyer in Guadalcanal. (see this roleplay for relevance)

The destroyer fleet commander decided to move closer in order to hit Marine positions more accurately, as well as close in a distance too short for Paternian Navy antiship missile batteries to be effective. General Jamie Parker anticipated this based off previous battles and maneuvered fixed 155mm howitzers, 8-inch guns, Stallion tank destroyers, M2 Ballista SPG and some M5A4 Ardent tanks in position along the shoreline in concealed gun pits in order to engage the destroyers. A fierce gun battle ensured. The tanks did little damage, as the destroyers were at the edge of their gun range. However, the 155mm howitzers, 8-inch guns, and M2 Ballista SPG proved far more effective.

In the exchange, five tanks, seven fixed guns, and four SPGs were destroyed. In exchange, the destroyers "Boldness" and "Daring" were sunk, and three other unidentified destroyers, from a fleet of eight, were damaged. Boldness was sunk most likely by 8-inch guns due to its distance from shore, while Daring, who was the closest and first target for the Paternian gunners, was taken under fire by 90mm railgun, 120mm coilgun, 155mm coilgun, and 8-inch coilgun fire. Daring was destroyed within minutes, while Boldness suffered moderate damage. However, it was unable to move at full speed.

Due to the threat of Paternian Navy submarines and torpedo boats operating from Tulagi, it was decided to evacuate "Boldness" and scuttle her, since towing her would entail the fleet slowing down, something not particularly preferable in an area known as "Torpedo Straits" due to the high rate of Paternian Navy submarine and torpedo attacks. Although attacking such a fleet would be considered highly dangerous, the use of younger commanders with torpedo boat and submarine fleets mean that they tend to be bolder, and will often attack these targets anyways.
