MiG-21 Bis

OH YEAH ITS FINALLY HERE

given the time constraints I have, I've really gone to town with this one

Version with fixed cannon AG - now set to 'all' - this removes the problem where activating the cannon would also detach the drop tanks

The MiG-21 Bis (NATO reporting name: Fishbed) was a supersonic jet interceptor designed and produced by Mikoyan-Gurevich in Russia. It was used by over 60 countries, some of which still fly it today. Despite its category of Interceptor, it carried many ground attack options and was capable of attacking and sinking ships, which made it very versatile.

Payload options

The example here comes with 3 payload options that existed in reality:
---1--- (interceptor) consisting of:
- 2x fire-and-forget AAMs
- 3x drop tanks
---2--- (anti-ship) consisting of:
- 4x Tiny Ivan anti ship rockets
- 1x drop tank
---3--- (ground attack) consisting of:
- 4x 500kg bombs
- 1x drop tank

Controls

  • AG1 = Parachute
  • AG2 = Detach drop tanks
  • AG3 = Detach all ordnance and drop tanks
  • AG4 = navigation lights
  • AG5 = Landing and taxi lights
  • AG6 = Arm weapons
  • AG7 + VTOL down = flaps
  • AG8 + VTOL up = gear doors
  • Trim = trim
