Derveaux-Baudouin 100B Sight

34.7k WarHawk95  4.1 years ago

This sight is a reflection sight used on french-built aircrafts such as the Super-Mystère B.2.
It works like a gyroscopic sight but it also works with calculations of the angle of slip, angle of attack and the "G's" the plane is taking.

Screenshots :

Caution : the sight doesn't work when IAS or TAS = 0.

Controls :
  • AG8 : illuminate sight

"Disclaimer" :

The sight on the screenshots and this one aren't the same because on the pics you can see... The prototype I built for this one. It was tested on a modified Pigpen. I since completely rebuilt the chassis of the sight, but except some changes in the system's properties, the principle and it's pieces are the same.

Bonus : a screenshot of this actual sight mounted in the cockpit of my Super-Mystère B.2.

    A pain to setup on aircraft, but result is worth it.
    Here is how:
    -Save sight without camera
    -Attach it on the plane you want
    -Put the camera somewhere close to sight
    -Select camera, open Fine Tuner then write down Y and Z values
    -Subtract Z value by 0.170086 and Y value by 0.417269(on your paper/calculator,not in game)
    -Write your caluclated Y and Z values back in Fine Tuner
    -Done!
