T-93U2 Paladin
<<Doing what’s right.>>
The T-93U2 Paladin is a Zanitsvan main battle tank.
LORE
As warfare and military becomes more advanced, experts; qualified or otherwise, have claimed the obsolence of tank in the modern warfare due to the rapidly-advancing sector of aerial warfare and standoff weaponry. Yet amidst the claim, the Zanitsvan military held onto its vast armored fleet proudly, continuing to bolster what is seen as obsolete by many observers.
If there’s one thing Zanitsvan engineers know to make tanks not obsolete, it is survivability. Such is the focus of the tank designers of Zanitsva for the last few decades. And the Paladin heavily reflects this focus.
The T-93U2 Paladin is a main battle tank in service of Zanitsvan Ground Force along with her allied nations. It is the most advanced tank in mass production of Zanitsvan armed forces with heavy emphasize on survivability and overall toughness. Aside from its improved welded turret design which allowed more and thicker composite layers to be installed, the Paladin comes with a variety of defensive armament intended to soak and deflect all manners of weapons used against tank in the modern area, from shells, missiles, even more recent threats such as FPV drones (provided with complementing armor).
Aside from its basic, yet extremely strong combination of composite armor, NERA and ERA that makes up its base armor, the T-93U comes with both “Arena” hard-kill APS and “Shtora” soft kill APS, making the tank nearly impervious to all types of missiles save for certain types that can’t be stopped by such measures. Moreover, with the looming threat of aerial attacks from small drones, the tank may install an improvised slat armor which could protect the vulnerable top armor from small bombs or mortar rounds.
The designation U2 meant that the tank is supposed to be an upgrade package for an existing tank, the T-93. Yet due to its perceived success, the T-93U2 was mostly produced “as-is”, meaning that most existing T-93U2 are factory made rather than an upgraded T-93. Nevertheless, the Paladin quickly became the backbone of Zanitsvan ground forces, trusted to lead the most intense of land fight against other armor in current and future battleground.
