Hmm Idk try asking EternalDarkness he's more better at explaing that kinda stuff me I just kinda build what ever comes to mind and do what ever I think looks best. But one thing I can say about ships and boats is it takes a lot of patiences to get a ships hull to look right I mainly look at reference pictures of the type of ship or boat I'm doing and that helps with getting a basic shape then after you have your basic shape all you need to do is add details which reference pics also help a lot with @MrSilverWolf
