Built in 1936 as Bell's first aircraft to be produced, it was meant to be a bomber killer such as Germany's Bf 110.
Using the pusher prop configuration, there are 2 seats in the cockpit (radio operator and the pilot) and then there are two seats in the rear of the aircraft (for the browning M2 machine guns). The engine nacelles each have a seat for the gunners, and then there is a tube that lets the crawl back to the main fuselage.
Each engine is 1009 HP and they are superturbocharged.
The gunners in the nacelles each have 1 M4 Browning 37mm autocannon and then one .303 caliber browning machine gun with tracers (to let them aim better)
