Overview
The Z-11 is the first indigenously designed Celestial Empire helicopter and the first ever operated military rotorcraft for Celestial Empire People's Army or People's Empire Liberation Army. Its is largely based and developed from the For-Rants made AS350 Écureuil helicopter. The Z-11WA variant is a military reconnaissance and observation helicopter, fitted with a sensor pod.
History
The Z-11 project started in late 1944 and the first flight was made in mid 1945. Three months later, test flights of Z-11 were completed. The chief designer of Z-11 is an anonymous Celestial aerospace engineer named Mr. Woozie, who is also the chief designer of three other Celestial helicopters, including the Z-10. Under Mr. Woozie, the Z-11 became the first Celestial Empire helicopter to be completely designed using CAD/CAM techniques.
The Z-11WA is a military reconnaissance and observation variant, combines good speed, small size, excellent manoeuvrability, and excellent armament. Additionally, it boasts thermal imaging equipment. Its main drawback is the limited arsenal consisting only of the relatively slow and short-ranged 57 mm and 90 mm rocket pods, and 12.7 mm machine gun pods. Due to the lack of armour and other defensive features, this helicopter is best used sneakily, locating targets from afar and creeping closer to attack from unexpected angles.
Features
- War Thunder-ish weapons
Armaments
- 7x FS-70 Rockets
- 1x QJK99 (12.7mm)
- 25x Flares
Controls
- Throttle = Increase/Decrease power.
- Pitch = Move forward/backward.
- Roll = Strafe.
- Yaw = Turn.
- VTOL = Ascend/Descend.
- AG8 = Enable/Disable gyroscopic control. Disabling it allows you to gain extreme maneuverability control but using it at your own risk.
Armaments Guidelines
1x QJK99 (12.7mm) (Machine Gun Pod)
- Deals damage to any targets.
- Spacebar = Fire guns.
FS-70 (Unguided Rockets)
- Shoots unguided rockets. Not requires lock-on target but it's really hard to aim, unless if you're really skillful enough.
- LAlt = Launch rocket, hold to fire simultaneously.
Trivia
- This Knockoff Earth version of Changhe Z-11 was developed more earlier than it's real-life counterpart which is around 1990s, that was because the technologies in Knockoff Earth universe such as rotorcrafts was begun to advance earlier around year 1945 and moderinzation era also started right exactly on that year as well.
- in real life, Changhe Z-11 was developed in 1991 and produced since 1998 until present.
- The PELAAF roundel looks similar as it's real life counterpart, but in Knockoff Earth version, the Celestial Empire version replacing it's "August 1" symbol with the eastern dragon as seen from the national flag of People's Empire of Celestia.
Credits
- WHNineTripleOne for the AS350 Ecureuli base.
- SuperSuperTheSylph for the helicopter rotorblades and gyroscope.
Creator's note:
- Using WHNineTripleOne's AI Rototcraft AS350 as a base, I've enlarged it a little bit to match the perfect scale since most of his helicopters are like underscaled. Consider like 1:3/4 scale small.
- I also borrow some parts from some of his own made helicopters for some parts, such as wing armaments. But a little bit of parts were purely made by myself.
- I use the rotorblades and gyroscope borrowed from SuperSuperTheSylph's AH-64D Apache Longbow. With this, I might begin to learning helicopter rotorblades and it's control mechanic, cuz I'm really suck at making helicopters with actual in-game provided helicopter rotorblades.
- By combining an XML-edited minigun, it can create a wing gun with a very different sound, in making of the machine gun pod.
- This helicopter was made for the Knockoff Earth Roleplay, where I also took the part on it.

Replaced the ATGM with QJK99 machine gun pod.
.
Isn't it much better now? Also you need correction with the description as well?
it steers and hovers lovely, glad i could help
also:
- you could direct countermeasures to fire from the sides or downwards, because they tend to break the rotor(the issue i have encountered too)
- you could also equip it w 30mm cannon instead of missiles
@DeeganWithABazooka aight, please give me a time.
@LunarEclipseSP Nerf it.
@DeeganWithABazooka So how is it? Should I nerf this chopper by removing those guided missiles?
@DeeganWithABazooka the GAM-79(eventually the GAM-83, then the AGM-12) bullpup was introduced in '54-'55. Meanwhile the KS-1 was around '53
@MonsNotTheMonster Alternately we can just use another unguided rocket pods or 12.7mm cannon to replace those ATGMs
@LunarEclipseSP I feel like, you should've made it using guardian missiles that performs poorly
@RB107 I'm actually asking of it. Was the guided missiles weren't developed yet until 1950? Also for helicopters, ain't we already had those like this one specificly?
.
And I thought technologies were begin to advance since the 45s Knockoff Year.
@LunarEclipseSP Mate, this thing is so advanced, like Meow zedong just brought this from the future with time machine
@LunarEclipseSP dang, nice helicopter!
good job miss E 👏

@DeeganWithABazooka Guided missiles supposedly came in 50s Knockoff Year? Well I can downgrade it just with either 12.7mm cannon replacement or just unguided rockets if you want. Wish the XML is valid this time.

@DeeganWithABazooka hmm i checked and its made in 1945.
@UnitedinOne90XCVBNKA But these are Fire and Forget missiles we're talking about here.
@DeeganWithABazooka first protos prolly like the v-1 rocket
Missiles are a 1958 thing
