Ok so SimplePlanes physics has surprised and confused me for the hundredth time, can someone explain to me how and why the entire boat rocks back and fourth violently when you try to steer? Use yaw and you’ll see what I mean, the same thing happens with the throttle stick, it’s just not as noticeable. I’ll upvote a few of your posts and tag you on this when I post it if you can be of any help, thanks in advance!

@AN2Felllla @AWESOMENESS360 SP physics. I know this is old but I’m here so, I don’t care! Like how hollow fuelsalages should float when closed with a normal fuelsalage, and an empty one should float cause its full of air, at least the righted it in SR2!

@BoiBoicleetus69 my goal here is to not have to use a gyro for realism purposes.

@jamesPLANESii I’m glad I’m not the only one here who is dumbfounded by SP Physics lol, and you make seriously good bush planes that seem to defy SP Physics completely, so I can imagine you’re used to it.

There’a one thing in SP that never fails to disappoint me, and that’s the rotational inertia physics.
This rocking, believe it or not, is being caused by your steering wheel. I took it off and it stopped completely.
SP is retarded and a 0 mass thing has the same rotational initia as a massive craft.
To fix it, 0 mass your steering wheel, and add a hidden steering wheel somewhere in the boat that we can’t see that goes in the opposite direction to the main one.

This is an interesting way to build a boat sorry i cant help, if you used vertical stabilizer or gyroscope it may be simpler to build

Same as what @CenturyAerospace said, the rotators in-game produce a torque force rotating your yacht in the opposite direction you turn the wheel or the throttle. Another solution to this could be decreasing the speed of the rotators thus resulting in less torque or increasing the dampening as far as I know

The torque from the rotator causes the rocking motion, the only way to fix it is to build a counter torque device to stop it
