Auto Credit Based on TheUltimatePlaneLover's [PEA-G] Grumman F9F-5 Panther
"Panther"
One of my favorite naval jets ngl (Tomcat fans, please don't hurt me)
The mainstay of naval fighters,
if you were a sailor in the '50s, the F9F isn't exactly your flashiest or most competitive aircraft like the F-86 or MiG-15. However, it doesn't precisely need the speed and agility of other fighters, as it provides a stable but versatile gun platform that can tackle both aircraft and ground targets alike.
Has a usable arresting hook and folding wings, making it perfectly useful for carrier operations. No secondary armament, but it can probably carry a decent payload.
PEA Lore:
Panthers are roughly on par with your average PEA-G here, but legend has it that they were the naval contemporary to the Sabreswarm in an alternate timeline...
