Introduction

The last manned reconnaisance and attack aircraft from the US defense industry before the inevitable deluge of UCAVs and other unmanned dystopian platforms. This aircraft is poised to take on a multitude of roles including, but not limited to, fast attack, recon, COIN, SIGINT and other electronic warfare duties.

It comes heavily armed with a variety of air to air and air to ground munitions. Of particular note is the 20mm railgun on the starboard side and the ALM-110d Toophan hyper sonic air to air missile.

It features a full cockpit with a custom HUD and all the trimmings.

It also fires a steady stream of flare IR countermeasures in a spiral pattern for self defense.

This version comes with the IIAF dusk grey recon livery based out of the 13th Tactical Air Base in Zahedan.

Instructions

This aircraft relies HEAVILY on the use of VTOL to change the pitch of the four engines. These engines will arrange themselves vertically as to not interfere with each other.

You will need to continually manipulate the VTOL to angle the nacelles for optimal flight characteristics. If you just point them full down it flies worse than an overburdened Cessna. If used right this aircraft is capable of really nice feats.

General notes:

• Takeoff thrust is at 16% and hover at 15% fully loaded.

• Jet booster engages at 100% throttle for an additional push up to ~1000km/h.

• The automatic stabilization gyro disengages automatically at 195km/h (it's not optional as the craft is unflyable at low speeds). This is shown externally with the primary wings splitting into two. The threshold is marked on the HUD speed bar with arrows.

• Master arm is always on.

Activation Groups:

AG1 = Open Canopy, deploy crew ladders.

Please note:

The AIM-9s and Hellfires deploy vertically downwards which will require altitude when firing or they'll just hit the ground.
