Goodyear XAO-3 Inflatoplane

120k ACEPILOT109  4.2 years ago

The Goodyear Inflatoplane was an inflatable experimental aircraft made by the Goodyear Aircraft Company, a subsidiary of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, well known for the Goodyear blimp. Although it seemed an improbable project, the finished aircraft proved to be capable of meeting its design objectives, although orders were never forthcoming from the military. A total of 12 prototypes were built between 1956 and 1959, and testing continued until 1972, when the project was finally cancelled.

This airplane is based off the inflato-plane. it is only in its inflated form only.
Normal Flight Controls
No Activation Groups
This airplane also could take off of water, my version is the 3 wheeled (platform).

Although I posted this, I’m still not back and I do not wish to continue posting anything for a while. This was just sitting around, so here it is. Bye guys.

The Goodyear Inflatoplane is a passionate and quite top-notch product of the Goodyear Aircraft Company. It would be great if it was tested in Drift Boss mode

It must be admitted that the Goodyear Aircraft Company Goodyear has always had relentless research and innovation. Although the plane didn't turn out to be a major project, it made the Goodyear Goodyear brand accessible to everyone with a passion for technology and fleeing the complex.

Despite its promising design, the Inflatoplane was never put into mass production due to several factors, including the limitations of its inflatable airframe contexto and the availability of other types of aircraft that could perform similar functions.

@ACEPILOT109 I have heard about when joking around with my friends. If I am not mistaken it was an attempt to develop a troop delivery aircraft for a small cost by the USAAC.
