Auto Credit Based on FeatherWing's (CLOSED) Unusual General Aviation CHALLENGE

FICTIONAL STORY

This two-seater vehicle almost completely made of carbon fiber and composite materials was created for the needs of commuters who have to move every day from the periphery of a large metropolis to their work in the center of the city and back.

Able to fly at a good speed in transfers and precise maneuvers between buildings and skyscrapers, the Dronegg allows you to cut time substantially. However, its high cost and the need for a flight licence reduce its diffusion on the market.

A sophisticated fly-by-wire system similar to that of small quadcopters with which even without much experience people can have fun and make video footage makes the flight rather simple and within the reach of even inexperienced pilots.

MODEL DESCRIPTION

he model, on the other hand, is slightly demanding to control, more than a normal Simpleplanes airplane, but after a short experience to become familiar with the not too usual commands, it is possible to make precision operations with vertical landings even on ships.

PILOT'S MANUAL

No special Ags.

VTOL = Vertical lift.
Thrust = Fast forward
Pitch = slow forward and slowing down
Yaw = Yaw
Roll = Side strafe
Trim = Trim (nose up and nose down to optimize the flight at constant altitude)

Each use of the pitch / yaw / roll commands causes a horizontal force component that is subtracted from the vertical one. Obviously this means that using these controls during the horizontal flight you actually lose altitude. Calculate all this and compensate it using Thrust and eventually Trim.

Thrust is based on a jet engine hidden inside the fuselage. Nose up mean the engine push you up, and vice versa, so using the trim with 0 thrust obviously the effect is different and will be based only on the horizontal component forward or backward of the propellers due to the movement of the nose.
