Yak-36 (VTOL)

by   16.7k niggelas100  11 days ago

The Yak 36 was the sowjets first VTOL jet. I realy like the designe of the plane but this is not the important point. The inportent point of a plane is how good it flys. I hope you have fun with this plane because i tryed to make it as stable as possible in the VTOL-mode (without gyroscope). Use ag 1 to drop the rockedpods. hope you enjoy

In this case 359 degrees on Y (instead of default 360) fixes it. Just try it and see how stable it is.
Still quite a big angle and angled vertical stabilizer it doesnt look good (those visuals on it). So you can scale it, add a fuselage block on it or add another stabilizer hidden/nudged inside fuselage and ANGLED

@niggelas100 to fix it properly, like perfectly symmetric plane, is hard.
But there is a quick fix. Angle the vertical stabilizer on Y axis (use fine tuner) with 0.x degrees. Start with -/+ 0.1 and adjust until roll is fixed. No more than 2 degrees.
    It always works.
