101k Wallaby  4.1 years ago
Auto Credit Based on Wallaby's Boeing B777-9X V1.0.1

Changelog V1.1 4/1/2020
~Fixed Nose Shape
~Fixed Wing Flex
~Brought functionality to par with 777-200F.

On February 25, 2020, the Boeing 777X took to the skies.

Now, I bring you a pathetic rendition that only 1/5 of you can actually download.

Before I go off, special shout-out to these mad lads for actually knowing how FunkyTrees works:
1. FlipposMC- FunkyTrees Help
2. SnoWFLakE0S- FunkyTrees Help
3. TheXDimension32- Spoiler Function
4. vcharng- LandingGear code that I stole

Time to go off on an essay-rant-drama-science fiction-description.

Ok, so basically, I saw the 777X and I was all like "bruh im so much of a bandwagon ima build this dummy thicc tube of metal in SimplePlanes and upload it public but im gonna use mod parts as a primary structural element so almost nobody can actually use it so I can get negative upvotes".

And so it happened. The end.

Features

  1. Funkytrees
  2. More FunkyTrees
  3. (almost) Full exterior lighting.
  4. Airfoils courtesy of mod listed below the specs.
  5. Flaps
  6. Slats
  7. Ailerons
  8. Flight Dynamics
    9. Realistic thrust physics but nobody cares

ACT5: Taxi Lights
ACT6: Landing Lights
ACT7: Strobe Lights

Other Functions with ACT

ACT3: Reverse Thrust
ACT2: Spoilers (Speed Brakes)
ACT8: Folding Wingtips (Game starts with them enabled on purpose stoopid)

Primary Functions

Roll: Roll
Pitch: Pitch
Yaw: Yaw
LandingGear: Landing Gear
Im forgetting something.

Tips

Take off with around 80-90% throttle depending on the length of the runway with flaps about 15 degrees (approx. 1/5 VTOL down.) Rotate around 140kts IAS.

Land with flaps full (full VTOL down), and maintain about 145kts IAS.

For cruising, try to stay around mach 0.84 TAS (you should switch from IAS to TAS around 18,000ft MSL) I have found a table online that shows mach 1 at certain altitudes. For the sake of flight planning, refer to this table and multiply your given speed by 0.84.
Click here to access the table.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Boeing 777 series is being updated with a new set of pre-armable speed brakes. This means that you can arm them and they will deploy immediately when you land. However, This means that the speed brakes will not deploy below ~200 knots TAS. Please fly carefully.

@Wallaby Is it quite good, I especially like the engines. Maybe use custom blades next time though? The back of the fuselage is very well modeled, but the nose is still off.

@ForeverPie yeah. I want it to be as realistic as possible, and am pretty sure it's not just linear...

@MethaManAircraft I just went linear lol

  • Profile image

@ForeverPie I've wanted to do that too, but cant find a graph of thrust vs airspeed...
Did you find any or are you just assuming it's linear?
Also one amendment: the thrust increases with the square of the throttle input
