Heeeyyy!!!!! i'm back!!!!! after two whole years!!!!!!
And I came back with a banger!
I present to you, the:
Nastamac N-5700B Vixen-B
It's an 70's supersonic airliner that competes directly with the likes of the Aerospatiale Concorde and the Tupolev Tu-144, but this one has my own tastes put into it.
This started with the Nostradan Supersonic Transport Program that seeked to design and manufacturea supersonic airliner for the nostradan market, this lead to the development of the N-5700A Vixen, considered good but suffered with the engine losing a lot of efficiency at higher speeds making it unable to reach supersonic cruise without the use of afterburners, after realizing this, work began on the Vixen-B which had a full redesign of the engine mechanisms, and the introduction of a movable center of mass, after many changes progress on the design ended on the N-5700B-131 Vixen-B.
Putting what I said in game terms, that means I remade the engine systems to a model that takes inspiration from Annedzrue's Concorde, which removes the mass multiplier from most parts and concentrate the weight in a single movable piece right in front of the center of lift of the aircraft, that means the aircraft will have a weird weight distribution, but have a adjustable CoM, sadly for some reason this change made the nose landing gear camber and bounce a lot, I don't know how to fix that yet, I may in some distant future make a Vixen-C but won't promise anything, other changes made in the transition to phase B were the shift to a central power plant, a single 24x power jet engine in the middle of the airplane that uses a input multiplier based on the aircraft altitude, and yes, it's the same piece of code present in Annedzrue's Concorde, I actually had a similar idea to his before researching his plane for help, I wanted to multiply the engine input using the aircraft's speed, but I am not good enough in Funky Trees coding do do this yet, my idea may have worked if I had used the standard engines just to power up the plane to a low subsonic speed, I may test this idea out in the future, but the line of code that Annedzrue made public already works wonders.
(The promotion above is a parody to a British Airways Concorde promotion from 1977)
This aircraft incorporates canards as well as aft horizontal stabilizers, even though the latter do barely anything, only working on trim, that is caused by the way i designed the tail of the aircraft, as you can see, it has a cutout for the horizontal stabilizers, but this cutout only allows for negative pitch for the wings, making it useful only on certain conditions, so it's existence is redundant, but it looks cute at least, took inspiration from the F-15 Active.
Well, that's that for the development notes, thank you if you read that!

Other Notes
I developed the aircraft a bit more even after taking the screenshots, so it may look different in-game, some of those differences being the landing lights and the redesigned retractable windshield that you can (barely) see in the "How times have changed." promotion, now instead of just hinging down, it retracts using a piston and then hinges, and using some FT smooth+floor timers make so that when coming back up it looks nice, so that's that, i've spent so much time already on this aircraft.
Final Words
When I said that I came back and made a banger, for me at least, I really meant it, I haven't touched Simpleplanes in a whole year, LITERALLY, not opening the game even once, then because recently I've been taking an interest in aeronautics, ever since I started playing Aeronautica on Roblox (great game btw), I thought of coming back here to make an SST that fitted my tastes, so I fired up the game and without even making a test started work on this, I still don't know how I built this aircraft after such a hiatus, never before I ever had made such a plane. no plane I made before ever used fuselage wings, custom engines, custom landing gears and so many small details, I think I got too carried on, even making two promotional advertisement, logos, and an entire history for the NSSTP program, the Nostrada country and Nastamac brands already existed before this plane, but the NSSTP program and the Vixen name were thought just for this, at least for me that rarely can muster up courage to do such a big projet, will be a really important thing in my history.
I will now probably enter a hiatus again, just like last time, I hope I don't though, I am still considering doing some different planes, some military stuff for the Nostradan Air Superiority Corps maybe, I don't know yet, even more now that I don't have time to do any hobbies, this will probably be my last project that I work on directly for 6 days straight in some time, for Simpleplanes it may even be the last, it was good to work on this while listening to some songs I played on osu! over 2024.
WOW DID I REALLY WRITE THAT MUCH EVEN THOUGH I BARELY KNOW ENGLISH?!
I got too excited again, sorry if you read all that
If you are wondering as to what happend with Block 2, it was rolled back for further improvements
Until next time.

this is literally a Concorde x Tu-144 ripoff lol
@DriftByteZ thank you!
The Vixen-B looks stunning, and the thought you put into the engine mechanics, custom parts, and even the lore behind it is next level. Easily one of the coolest SST concepts I’ve seen—massive respect for the dedication!
@DJRianGamerTheHololiveFan 图和144🤓
Concorde II
If tu-144 and concorde had a baby:
@lazerguidedmissile Mach 3.02964
3741km/h=3.02964
holy crap I love this thing
it's just a concord
Rockstar if they made Concorde/144 Charger-like aircraft for GTA Online (I mean we already had the Tu-160 Blackjack in GTA Online)
@Arcoma11 but it is safer and easier to control than the Tu-144
@aviationVietNam yeah, i took inspiration from it to do the canards
@Arcoma11 it resembles the Tu-144
British Concordski
@aviationVietNam nyooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's a viggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:3
