B.M.C Mongoose 1973 (fictional)

Fictional Lore:

During the early 1970s, the US branch of B.M.C was seeking to extend their line of muscle cars with more variety as previous models have all been moderate to great successes. In 1973, the Mongoose entered production, as an affordable but high performance car. However, it could not have came at a worse time, as the 1973 oil crisis hit muscle cars especially hard. The Mongoose only stayed in production until the end of 1974 when it was finally discontinued as sales kept going lower. A GT variant was also produced briefly, but it did not sell well enough either and it was discontinued after a few hundred were made.
There were ideas about bringing back the model line in the decades after it's discontinuation, and in 2008, the company finally revived the Mongoose with a second generation. The new generation was a success and remained in production all the way to the early 2020s
