OVERVIEW

Magus is a fighter capable of delivering outstanding performance across all speed regimes. It features high-aspect-ratio wings with canards, combined with some unique mechanism, allowing it to execute a wide range of complex and precise maneuvers

I tried my best to make this craft looks logical, but due to skill issue, there are still many aspects that didn’t turn out exactly as I hoped. Fortunately, the final result is not that bad (i think

FEATURE

RCS (Reaction Control System)

RCS is usually as a spacecraft system that uses thrusters to provide attitude control and translation, it allows precise rotation, stabilization, and small position adjustments

But what if we apply RCS to a fighter?

By using multiple fixed-angle thrusters on the front and rear, fighters can execute a wide range of maneuvers while maintaining high maneuverability and attitude stability without relying on traditional aerodynamic control surfaces

They can also help with slowing down while landing

Retractable Canard Wings

Similar to variable-sweep wings, allow the aircraft to perform well in both low-speed and high-speed conditions. Pilots can choose to operate them manually or have the system control them automatically

The canard wings will automatically retract when speed is over 0.9 Mach

ARMAMENT

A weapon pod is mounted under the fuselage, capable of carrying a variety of weapons, allowing the fighter to flexibly perform a wide range of multirole missions

To prevent the weight of the weapon pod and its munitions from restricting the aircraft’s performance when it matters most, thrusters are installed above the bay, allowing the entire weapon pod to be jettisoned and ejected from the aircraft
