Welcome to the SimplePlanes Aircraft Renovation Challenge!
So, I decided to throw out this challenge as I work on a big tournament (coming soon), its relatively easy, should be fun, and the rewards are not too bad!
All you have to do is pick one of the stock planes that SimplePlanes automatically gives you (such as the P-51 or Wasp), and upgrade it. Because after so many years of these things being around, they are finally starting to show their age.
All stock planes (which I will from now on call stocks), are allowed. But you need to follow a few rules...
Rules
Aircraft must stay the same size. Adding parts doesn't count to this rule.
Do not change the function of the aircraft. such as Vertigo without VTOL or the Quadcopter as a jet.
Only 1 entry per person, no more.
Keep in mind that you do not need to add weapons, simply upgrading speed and handling counts as well.
there are no weapon or speed regulations. Feel free to go stupid fast and have the deadliest weapons known.
The basic structure of your build cannot change. Wing shape, weapons, accessories, etc can be swapped, deleted, or upgraded.
Pretty sweet? Basically do almost anything you want!
Keep in mind that this will not be a tournament, it will be a basic challenge, so that means we need scoring!
Scoring
Looks: /100 points| How does it look?
Functionality: /100 Points| How much can I do with it?
Performance: /100 Points| How likely can I beat opponents?
Accessories: /100 Points| Decals? Fuselage art? Custom parts?
Personal Liking: /10 Points| Not as important, but it can change whether you get 1st, or 2nd.
Over all, you can get a maximum of 410 points.
Next, we need prizes! Because if I cant bribe people to come do my challenge, then why even bother.
The prizes aren't super awesome (its not a hard challenge), but its decent.

1st Place: Possible Spotlight, 10 Upvotes, build is used in a surprise coming soon.
2nd Place: Possible Spotlight, 10 Upvotes.
3rd Place: 5 Upvotes
4th-5th Places: 1 Upvote

This isn't to celebrate anything, just wanted to so something fun.
If 2 or more of the top places are tied, I will use a random chooser thing to determine who wins.

P.S. Yes, I called the Little Bugger and Jackhammer aircraft, but that's only 2 out of the like, 15 stocks SP made. So chill.

@SPMTB cool, that's what I would do. Much with like my Blue Streak remake. I will rebuild it to the same(ish) dimensions as best as I can
@LieutenantSOT The main Idea of the build needs to stay, such as the fuselage or engine location, stuff like wing shape, landing gear, decals, etc are fine for anyone to mess with.
@Memri @MrGreen Yes like what you said, everyone do challenges to challenge their mind, skills, abilities and people make challenges like this to get upvotes from players, that's why people who always make SP challenges have much upvote than anyone (except BogdanX, he made no challenges in 4.9 years playing SP)
