MiG21 Mountain

HERE is a lower part-count (729) for lower-end PC players.
HERE is a lower part-count (500) for mobile players.
Thanks for 2k downloads!

A replica of the Mikoyan Gurevich MiG-21F-13. Includes all custom control surfaces and gear, a functioning cockpit, semi-realistic flight model, and working afterburner with realistic VFX.

Cockpit layout is based on the MiG-21bis; I couldn't find enough information on the F-13. Layout is not a 100% replica, many features have been simplified for easier in-game distinction.

Notes:

Afterburners at 100% throttle and AG1.

Gear is locked open when on the ground, and nose wheel steering is only available <40 kph.

Cockpit canopy will automatically close and lock >40 kph.

Do not set VTOL to the positive position. It will effectively push the aircraft downwards, though visual flaps and the cockpit flap indicator will not reflect this.

The central air brake is blocked by the fuel pod. It will only open after the fuel pod has been dropped.

High g-forces may cause the gear to break if extended. A warning light in the cockpit is there as to prevent this.

Flight Model:

Engine power and flight characteristics are close to realistic. Aircraft bleeds energy quickly on turns, and takes a while to reach max speed.

Acceleration is relatively realistic especially on takeoff without afterburner. It takes a while to reach rotation speed. Top speed is similarly realistic at ~1300Kph at sea level with afterburner.

Weaponry:

The NR-30 Cannon is mounted off-centre to the right, recoil will yaw the plane as a result. The cannon statistics are realistic, in addition it only has 60 rounds that last 3 seconds... so good luck actually killing anything.

The K-13 missiles have a somewhat realistic G-load and top-speed, and will struggle to hit fast targets. They have a targeting angle of 35 degrees and are fire and forget.

Controls:
[AG-1: Afterburner]
[AG-2: Air Brakes]
[AG-3: Lights]
[AG-4: Cockpit Canopy]
[AG-5: Drop Fuel Pod]
[AG-6: Drop Ordinance]
[AG-7: Chute]
[AG-8: Master Switch]
[VTOL (Down): Flaps]
[Trim: Trim]
[Camera-1: Cockpit]
[Camera-2: Missile]
[Camera-3: Missile]

Enjoy!

My iPad Pro runs it perfectly too, just some people may use lower end devices. @laosunjieshuo

Oh... the wheels breaking off at high speeds isn’t intentional. In fact I spent hours trying to prevent it. Not really sure why you would WANT it to break, but: SimplePlanes shock (suspension) pieces have a maximum distance they can stretch before breaking. Basically the shocks inside my wheels arm ‘give out’ from the high g-forces and break, causing the entire wheel to fly off. @Zoowarp

@CheeseTruffles the gear breaking one - haven't been able to get it to work (nor find it xD) on your aircraft- specifically high speed gear breaking. I can't get it to work from a detacher (because wobble) and hinges go back to where they came from and I can't find the right value for them anyway. Sooo the mechanism for breaking the gear I guess if you don't mind sharing it
