BMW E30 M3

23.1k marcox43  6.1 years ago
Auto Credit Based on marcox43's BMW E30 Time attack V2

The mighty E30, legend of many races in history, has arrived to simpleplanes to race once again. Equipped with a modified bodyframe and large spoilers, this car is able to make tight turns at 180mph(300mk/h). surely an improvement form his old days. the wheels alignment is the following:
Camber: 0.5° outwards both back and front wheels
Convergence: 0.3° front, 0° back
Stuck at 1:20 on motor mirage. Time hasn't improved since V4, but this one features better aerodinamics (yes, that decorative front spoiler actually works), resulting in less effort to reach max speed.

@Oski they are good for off-roading, but tend to roll a lot when cornering. They are pretty good suspension in SP, my first race cars used that suspension.

@marcox43 how about swing half axle? It looks pretty simple, and low part count

@Oski search the suspensions by the names I wrote below, each one is different and serves a different purpose ;)

@Oski for suspension, the best you can do is watch videos on YouTube, learn how they are built and how they work. For example, this car uses a McPherson strut suspension in all wheels, since it's simple and easy to do and has very low part count.(irl is a pain to assemble xdd). For suvs, I recommend you a double wishbone one or a solid axle bar, wich is very common in heavy duty vehicles (usually solid axle in the rear and wishbones on the front)

@marcox43 well, all I want to know is how to make suspension and the drivers cabin (like this one, not the hollow one).
I am gonna try a police suv with 4wd so yeah.

@Oski sure! tell me what you need to learn and I'll tech you what I can. Also, your Interceptor is the size of an F1 car, or the normal size of a 70's U.S car xdd

@marcox43 could you possibly teach me how to actually build cars? And now I see that my interceptor is actually pretty normal in scale lol

Seriously just a 174 parts?! Gonna download this right now. This is awesome considering it has a low part count.

@Supermini555 @yoshicraze and everyone, thank you for the upvotes! Didn't expect it would receive such attention even after being smashed to a wall during the race!

@JonorBX yup, with a bit of creativity, one can make 1:1 cars with low part count

@marcox43 it works well ,i just test it,and wow,you can make the car looks so real with only 200parts, now i think there is really need to be a competition for 1:1normal cars

@JonorBX this is my current entry, as you may see, this time I'm going fancy instead of competitive.

@JohnnyBoythePilot this is the last version, I had to increase the drag a bit from the original V6(deleting small fuselage fins) to make the car able to turn properly, otherwise it would go flying on the semi-final turn of the race. guess I'm gonna keep it with the white paint, I'm too lazy to make the tri color striped painjob xdd
