Dieselpunk- "Interloper"

89.3k laSoul  7.4 years ago

A Dieselpunk hover copter I planned up yesterday. Design's inspired by an Xbox game I had.
Controls:
Pitch: Moves you forward or back
Roll: Works as a strong tilting Yaw
Yaw: Very slow and precise
TRIM UP: Folds landing gear
AC 1&2: Guns and Rockets

Hahaha fair enough. I think it would be a cool idea to change that to a VTOL control or to even be able to switch from pitch control to VTOL depending on the situation you want to use the chopper in @laSoul

@Mustang51 Nah, I just thought it felt exposed dead in front.

In what kind of case would that be needed? For attacking targets on a mountain/hill at an altitude equal to yours? @laSoul

@Mustang51 They're actually made for straight forward attacks, lil gun on the bottom is ground based, both rockets too.

I’m not sure if this was just part of the design you modelled this after but how come you decided to make the Gatling hubs and rocket pod move? Doesn’t this just make it harder to hit ground targets (I’m assuming it’s made specifically for ground attack)? The build is fantastic though btw!
