Intro

The Eclipse II is the second ship built of Eclipse-class Dreadnought in Star Wars Legends. It carries a superlaser that has 2/3 firepower of the Death Star. After being hacked by R2-D2, it jumped to Byss and collided with the Galaxy Gun. A missile in the Gun was released due to the destruction of the Gun then hit Byss. The planet exploded and destroyed the Dark Empire fleet orbiting around it, including Eclipse II. Read Dark Empire and Dark Empire II to find out more.

@Markjn Take a try, and you'll found that the beams you fired will hit the hull. They're not fast enough to escape from the hull span area when the hull is ascending/descending, thus colliding each other sideways.
