Mechanical Leaper v. 1.1

Auto Credit Based on SnoWFLakE0s's LeaperBot v. 1.0

Hi guys, I'm back.

Yet another mechanical build. As the title says, what I'm presenting to you guys today is a piston-powered mech or bot or whatever that leaps to move. The basic mechanism is simple, it was just hard to get everything into place, lol.

Specs

  • Maximum Jump height: ~20 ft
  • Maximum Jump Distance: ~15 m
  • Source of Power: Pistons only

Controls (Read Please!)

  1. Throttle charge up to more than 75% (I recommend 100% anyways, below 75% will do nothing)
  2. Brake. The energy will be released and you go in a jump!
  3. While you are in the air, throttle up again to ensure maximum distance and for successive jumps. I recommend doing so.
  4. You cannot control the direction of the mech in this version, but here's a beta version with left-right control.

Have fun,
-SnoWFLakE0s

Super cool concept! Too bad my device cannot run it fast enough to get it to work... Though I wonder if it would be possible to build a walker by swapping the inputs of one of the legs and doing a bit of tweaking...

@Tengam Maybe only on your side. What physics setting are you on? It works fine on ships as well.

Huh, suspension doesn’t work when hopping on a ship. It just explodes and pistons fall out

I’ve found switching the pistons to Brake input works on mobile.

Note: for mobile, a keyboard is required for this to work properly.
