[ The agile frigate of the Skypark Sea Service ]

[ Description ]

The Kappa class are stealth frigates made to fill the role of am anti submarine ship, which Skypark had critically lacked some some time. They fit into a key part of a carrier battle group, along with the Iota class destroyer, and Theta class cruiser.

The Kappa class originated in a troubled program to acquire a anti-sub ship for the Skypark navy. This program had been stalled due to internal division about what kind of ship should be made to fill the anti-sub role. However, the subsequent appearance and war with the sirens would break the long-standing deadlock, along with a military-wide development program was instituted to produce suitable replacements for the older weapons in time to fight the sirens before they inevitably destroy all the outdated systems. This would result in Skypark finally gaining a anti-sub ship, the Kappa class, designed to counter all underwater threats, including submarines.
