Description
Type: Strike Fighter
Crew: 2, Pilot and Gunner/Co-Pilot
Weapons: 20 mm Multi-cannon, 50mm mortar pod, (5) Guardians, (15) Infernos
Manufacturer: Avenel Aviation
Overview:
The FA-125C Grizzly is the latest variant to the Hamerkop variable swept wing fighter platform. The newest version features upgraded weapons capacity to include 2 external pylons tilted at 2 degrees downward to help in strafing runs on ground targets. The new engines, and enhanced airframe also increases it's survivability in an air to air engagement. Recent engine upgrades to allow it to carry the extra Armaments.

The Grizzly operates as a Close Air Support (CAS) Platform, that also is able to hold it's own a dogfight if needed. It is designed to support ground forces movements, but an emphasis was placed on making the craft able to maintain air superiority against medium threats. While it is not the best in a dogfight it has one of the highest payload capacity of any fighter use by the Alliance Forces, which means it can carry out longer missions.

Builders Notes

It may look like an F-14 Tomcat, but the concept behind the original craft was a miniature B-1 Lancer. After some revisions to the original, like scraping the 4 small engines for 2 larger ones, it turned into the fighter it is now. It doesn't handle the best compared to my other fighters, but it has the best payload capacity for it's size.
