The ship name takes inspiration from the HMS Royal Sovereign, which was given to Russia (The Soviet Union) in late WWII and renamed the Arkhangelsk (after Arkhangelsk Oblast)

Requiring multiple sets of propellers to move, the ESS Archangel is the first ship of the Archangel-Class "Super Battleships"
However, due to the sheer idiocy of the Archangel, the class was scrapped following the first ship's completion

The Archangel was laid down in 1943, but wasn't completed until 1961. In 1962, when it made its maiden voyage, it had a brief meeting with the HSwMS Sverige, which was patrolling Sweden's northern coast at the time. The Sverige opened fire on the Archangel to no avail, but the Archangel did not return fire. Simply, the Archangel sent a message to the Sverige informing the ship that it was from Exeron. The Sverige moved to form up with the ship, ultimately being dwarfed by it. The rest of the Archangel's maiden voyage went by with no issues, but the Archangel ended up never seeing combat. In 1984, the Archangel had a refit to include larger turrets than what it originally had, moving all of its external components into the hull. It would see another refit in 2005 for the addition of the HQ119 turrets. The Archangel remains in service today, though it mainly serves to ward off enemy ships due to its inefficient size.

Featuring 3 obscenely large turrets with abysmally massive guns, the Archangel is not very friendly to pedestrians walking about, and as such, 90% of the ship's operations can be completed from the interior. Alongside this, the Archangel hosts a single major FCS tower, with a dome radar mounted atop next to 4 radar/rangefinders and one large AESA for tracking targets within the Archangel's front area. To go alongside it's 3 main caliber turrets, the Archangel also has 4 modified Umbra Mk2B Imperator turrets, carrying singular 28cm cannons each. Finally, to make up the air defense sector, the Archangel carries two HQ119 turrets towards the stern.
