@SledDriver also I have xml but I don't know all the mod commands and there is this little plane I made called the amazing roto rocket and it's pretty fun to fly you don't have to rate it just wanted to share it with you

@birthdaysnake Your bp-1 is a very good plane, especially for someone with just six builds. The shape is very aerodynamic, and it flies quite well. About the only thing you got wrong is the placement of the rear landing gear -- it's too far back. It needs to be just behind the center of mass. Another thing is that the wings are too thick - for a supersonic-looking airplane like this, they need to be like knife blades.

To build high-performance planes, you'll need to get into XML modding. Try my parts kits here, here, and here. The first one has pretty much all the modded parts I use (fuselage blocks with different massScales, engines with different power outputs, and scaled wings).

To get better, first, get the fundamentals of flight right. You're already off to a good start. The other thing that'll help you the most is learning how to use fuselage blocks.

You can look at my earliest posts to see how to use fuselage blocks to create lots of different shapes.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask, I'm always happy to answer.

Hi I am trying to find new ways to build and basically make my planes better and in turn make be a better builder and I was hoping you could teach me I also made my first fuselage winged plane and was hoping you could take a look at it and tell me if I did anything wrong I personally think it flys pretty well and looks kinda good it's called the bp-1

@KSPFSXandSP It would take some time to explain. You up for it?

@TomShift Yeah, that's because of the special engine configuration I use.

@SledDriver through some testing I noticed that If you skid this on the water with at 1 activated you can more more than double the top speed.

@CRJ900Pilot I know you didn't say that, and I'm not taking offence at all. Just clarifying why I post series of similar aircraft.

I never said your designs are bad, just a suggestion @SledDriver

@CRJ900Pilot And as for changing up my designs, my designs have at least as much variation as anyone else's on SP, in fact it's possibly the widest range of designs on SP. It's just that this website has no sense of history, so people only remember the last few.

@CRJ900Pilot Did you comment on the wrong post? This one is quite different from my past few uploads.

Anyway, I appreciate the suggestion, but I work my own way -- come up with a good design, and evolve it iteratively.

I could also double or triple my upvotes by going mainstream (replicas/bright paint schemes/decals), but that just rubs me the wrong way. Severely.

Cool! I would suggest one thing though. Change up your designs a bit. They all look great, but the last 3-4 you’ve made have all been designed around this general shape. If your in it for upvotes, make big noticeable differences so more people go click click. You don’t have to, but just an idea @SledDriver

@Stingray On this one the crosshair is perfectly aligned with the guns.
