Kawasaki Ki-96

Designed to be a evolved version of the Ki-45 heavy fighter with it being larger and having more powerful engines. It was asked by Japan's aviation bureau that the Ki-96 to be a single-seat fighter. However, in the end, the their requirements had changed to a two-seat requirement. And so, development of the Ki-96 would cease. The wings and tail unit of the Ki-96 would be reused for the Ki-102 two-seat fighter. Twin-Eng.
