"Unleashing 11 barrels of hell!"

We die standing.

*NOTE: This tank requires MOPCKOEDNISHE's Tank aiming control mod in order to work.

The mod can be found here.

I have included this mod this time, as it is very time consuming to train all of the numerous weapons on target. Be sure to read through this description!

If you encounter a problem without having known how to actually use the tank, then of course I can't help you. If there's something not in there that you want me to fix, then post it in the comments!

Lucius's planetary foundry has released a new modification of one of the oldest, yet deadliest, tanks of the Imperium of Man. Augmented with superior armor over Mar's version of this vehicle, and with an upgraded engine that can negate the heavier weight, this tank will roar into battle and smite any heretics that dare to challenge it with all the might that the God-Emperor blesses it's machine spirit with!

Behold. It is the Baneblade!

We die standing.

We die standing.

So, I bought the first Dawn of War. Specifically, DoW: Soulstorm.

And that was when I fell in love with the most badass tank in the entirety of the WH40K franchise. I just knew I had to make it in Simple Planes to toy around with.

A brief size comparison with one of my last tanks, the M4A3E4...

WHAT IS THAT!? A TANK FOR ANTS?

Yes. I made it completely 1:1 scale. Now, without meandering further, the controls.
(The Baneblade is colored in the paint of the 412th Cadian Regiment, on Lorn V, Talorn.)

This tank is just about nigh indestructible to any type of gun ingame. The only weapons that can destroy it is the explosives. Bombs, missiles, rockets.

But why even worry when you have OVERWHELMING firepower?

CONTROLS:
W and S to move forward or reverse. Q and E to activate neutral traverse of the main hull.
AG1 + VTOL and TRIM: Left side lascannon turret.
AG2 + VTOL and TRIM: Right side lascannon turret.
AG3 + VTOL and TRIM: Left side twin linked bolter in sponson.
AG4 + VTOL and TRIM: Right side twin linked bolter sponson.
AG5 + VTOL and TRIM: Frontal twin linked bolter turret.
AG6 + VTOL and TRIM: Main turret. Baneblade cannon (21 rockets) and coaxial lascannon.
AG7 + VTOL and TRIM: Demolisher cannon. 18 rounds. Be careful, do not fire these at any less than 4 Baneblade lengths away. Otherwise, you will be damaged by the blast.
AG8 ON or OFF: Frontal lights.

EXTRA INSTRUCTIONS: Be careful when driving this tank on flat ground, such as airfields. It will move on it's own due to the game's physics.

Limit your speed, to at the most, 30 mph. Otherwise the tank, despite weighing three hundred tons, can flip over. Do not exceed that speed unless necessary (ie. climbing up a slope).

The tank is it's actual weight as described by the WH40K wiki, so the wheels can't take the weight on the tarmac. This shouldn't be a problem, as the movement is very minor, but keep this in mind.

Be careful not to use all guns when traversing the mouse aim to one side. The Demolisher cannon especially has a limited physical traverse and will explode the tank if you are too reckless. Instead, learn to turn off the activation groups for each turret when you are firing to one side.
(ie. When firing to the direct right, with all guns activated, deactivate AG7, AG1, AG3, and AG5. Same goes for the left, but swap out AG1 and AG3 for AG 2 and AG4.)

Oh, and remember to turn off gun stabilization. It actually makes your aim more jittery. You can do so by activating the mouse cursor (press 'I') and simply go over to toggle the button.

The Demolisher cannons' shell drop will take some time getting used to, but you'll figure it out with enough practice.

Now go!

Burn the heretic.

Kill the mutant.

Purge the unclean!
