Red Opponent: Version 6.

OK but why does that look like a game title up there ^ lol

Alright, alright, jokes aside,

the SCOURGE's "favorite" aircraft is back with a new modification... except this one actually makes me think the Red Opponent is his favorite. Dubbed "Red Opponent F," this is the newest and most advanced version we've seen of the first Scourge Jet deployed. Most notably is its improved armament sporting six of the Reverse-Engineered Calliope Missiles instead of only four of the "Less Goofy" missiles on Red Opponents A-D. The "ROF" can apparently carry drop tanks as well.

Its wing structures have also been visibly changed to improve flight performance. For example, the wing is bigger and more swept than that of the earlier Red Opponents, bearing much greater resemblance to a swept wing than a trapezoidal wing. The elevators are also much bigger, aiming to improve the responsiveness and turn time of the Red Opponent F. Also worth noting is the presence of wing fences similar to those seen on the Red Eliminators.

However, many of the new upgrades are mostly speculation. Similar to its directly-preceding Red Opponent variant, the E, the Red Opponent F has only seen one combat mission so far, although it did to astonishingly well in it, defeating several enemies with no losses. We have yet to know much about the Red Opponent's production status, as we've only seen one or two at a time. But we do know this much: the Red Opponent F is not going to be a fun enemy in the skies, for it is a true air superiority fighter.

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover although it might have turneate, what is gonna do to a plane with such a high instantaneous turn rate while going Mach 3.4?
    Because it is a PS2 game, the wings don't break off when pulling 50+ Gs

    @KPLBall The jammer might be a problem for the Scourge Jets, but maneuverability is more or less their specialty, while they normally rely on swarms, they can hold their own in a 1v1 dogfight, at least if it only comes down to turnrate

    @TheUltimatePlaneLover no locking
    Remember F-33 loathes I-100 due to the Jammer?
    Also, in swept wing mode I-100 can turn better than F-14

    @KPLBall I wouldn't be so sure, these guys nearly shot down an F-33A-50 (most modern Falchion variant)
