1904 Phillips 20 wing Multiplane

!WARNING: THIS DOES NOT WORK ON LOW SETTINGS!

Flying advice....
You have no Yaw and little roll,
Pitch is quite sharp and can take you by surprise,
For takeoff a 5-15mph headwind is ideal and you can use the wind to help you fly,
landing, is incredibly easy due to the slow speeds that this areoplane flies at.

the stall speed is somewhere under 20 and the lowest speed i was able to fly at was 6mph,
Do not expect to set an altitude or speed record in this plane!

The biggest danger is running out of fuel, keep an eye on the fuel at all times and I would'nt stray too far from a flat piece of ground.

This was for a challenge but unfortunately Simpleplanes' physics engine didn't like my plane and decided to make it explode when you launched the level, thankfully after ages of trial and error I fixed the problem and got this... thing to fly!

HISTORY:
Horatio Phillips had made a 50 wing multiplane in 1894, it was unmanned and was tied to a pole so it didn't 'run away' it managed to fly, the 1904 multiplane was able to be piloted (somehow) and managed to achieve a hop with a maximum altitude of 50ft it was a failure as it could not sustain flight, so in 1907 he built a multiplane with 200, yes 200 individual wings [and no I am not making that one EVER] and it managed to fly properly but as you would expect had very poor performance.

THIS PLANE:

well its not entirely historically accurate as there is no pilot's seat (I didn't make it because I couldn't tell where it was and what it looked like) but I think it looks cool the way it is and I don't want to mess it up again. so yeah,

ENJOY!

@ThePrototype not as hard as making the 500 winger! not sure how you could do an autopilot though.

How hard do you think it would be to make an autopilot system? @PlanesOfOld

Might do the Avion III, well a modified version, he actually had an early "Autopilot" system which would stabilize the craft of it rolled..... @PlanesOfOld

@EternalDarkness What can I say, doped canvas is tougher than it looks.

This is very hard to shoot down. Nothing to hit except wings and engine. And there's so many wings I can't destroy enough, and it doesn't really need the engine when it's airborn anyway. It just keeps gliding to the runway.
