The Colt SMG is a closed-bolt 9mm blowback submachine gun based off the AR-15 platform. After the success of the AR-15 in the form of the M16, Colt sought to develop a series of firearms based off the AR-15. One of these was the submachine gun variant, chambered in 9mm Parabellum and using modified Uzi magazines. This particular variant is known as the "Para," due to its compact nature. It is fitted with a 9-inch barrel, collapsiable wire stock, smooth handguard, flip-up fixed iron sights, and rail system upper. While the weapon has a 32-round magazine, it is typically loaded to 30 rounds to improve reliability and the fact that 9mm ammunition in the Paternian Army comes unclipped in 15-round magazines.
