Auto Roll Fixer

415k realSavageMan  3.5 years ago

My original innovation! Solves automatic rolling problem guaranteed, so you don't necessarily have to carefully balance your plane.

Instructions

Zero mass and zero drag. Place on one side of your plane.

Engine on the left should be used on the left side, and right one for the right side.

Usually an unbalanced plane only tilt to one side, so you only need ONE of the two engines for your plane.

Funky Tree input:

Right: RollRate<-0.001 & RollRate>-0.1
Left: RollRate >0.001 & RollRate<0.1

Feel free to use! You're welcome.

@ForwardUntoDawn it stops working because your plane’s roll rate is too large. Try fix it a bit on your plane, you’re not supposed to be overly relied on this engine.

Hey man, you probably haven't looked at this in a while, but for some reason it works perfectly for me until i roll the plane a bit, and then it stops working at all

So... if I replace the roll with pitch, then I can make my plane level good?

@SavageMan I though it was rate(RollAngle) , maybe there's just two different names for the same thing

Also one helpful trick. Open dev console and type "DebugExpression RollRate". This will help

@SavageMan oh no worries, i tested it on a plane i purposely made unbalanced. Thanks for caring anyway

That's strange since the input has nothing to do with pitch. You can tag me if you need help @AzureCorp

Report: Will work on stable flight, but when craft pitches up, will roll in the undesired direction.
