@Monarchii thanks!
@nwa @WarLightning okay so quick stupid recap of USS Akron/Macon's history..
.
IT'S NOT A COMBAT NOR A DEFENSIVE SHIP, IT'S NEITHER AN WEAPON OF WAR OR A FORTRESS, ITS FRAGILE AS SHIIITTTTTTTTTT
.
however, what it actually excels at(which the damn US Navy and the Government of said Navy made sure NOT to highlight in exercise) is, before the invention of radar, long range maritime patrol & reconnaissance! imagine a high-speed destroyer that can sweep and observe sea targets and relay them to a Task Force or any warship that is nearby.. the potential was GREAT!!
.
except, that regardless of how cool it is, it's an airship, and airships were long gone obsolete..
.
in it's time, or before it, it would've killed and made hella contributions! but with the development of better higher planes(and also better long range patrol planes), airships lost their place as the primo long-distance maritime patrol aircraft.
.
in summary, good idea! if you wanna die.
okay, so fun part!
how it uses it's planes has less to do with it being a standard aircraft carrier, and more of a sweeping observation. both airships would launch it's planes(mind you, this is before radios can be mounted on planes, especially on something as small as a Sparrowhawk) would launch to one side, then after some time alloted, it would turn back to where the airship's route is going assuming it goes straight.
one of the captain of the airships, in defiance of the Navy's order NOT to iirc, literally flew, sweeped a large amount of area, and spotted+landed.. ON A SHIP THAT A PRESIDENT WAS AT(which he knew), he then proceeded to deliver the latest newspapers and swagged off out, proving just how valuable and effective it is at covering large amounts of ground for reconnaissance
@Pakdaaircraftindustries in simple, you want to create a neutrally buoyant craft that floats.. just like making a submarine but it flies via jet instead of perfectly balanced buoyancy.
.
you could use this subassembly, make sure that the weight of the craft(after installing) is exactly 100,000kg.
.
also align the CoM with the central gyroscope.
.
the way I do it, after I'm done making the airship, is installing this exactly on the CoM and adding weight to the central block of this engine
that way the CoM stays exactly the same
@WarLightning YB-2A? disaster?? oh i do not think so
i am still waiting for the production version tho(which will come around same time as Half-Life 3)
oh great @Monarchii lord of airships , how can I create a airship?
@WarLightning Haha ! Cheer Ma Bud !
(Proceed To Drunk*)
Also @Monarchii Pardon Us 😭🙏🏻
@nwa Oh man remember the last time you did that wich is ended up as a disaster. Plenty of times and energy spend and wasted for a project that is simply impossible! And im here wanna prevent you to repeat the same shit! Why? Cuz simply cuz im also involved, and i'll involved again and- uh- nvm
lesgo!
Let be crazy again for the 2nd time!
@WarLightning Nah, This Time I'll Try To Push My Own Self Again. Even More Than Before !
And I Believe That I Can
@nwa No don't pls don't!
Listen to me it won't be possible and you'll ended up giving up and regret!
Oh @Monarchii help me explaining this, oh del don't be insane again i mean, use your logic man 😭
@WarLightning Hmm How About If, The Way Around.
I'll Made It Bigger Than Before ? Mweheheh Gonna Be USS Akron -like !
@nwa Yesh but tbh it's still too big 😭
