The Challenge:
Congratulations! You are the proud owner of this newly finished 'Not an RV-8' kit. You've spent hundreds of hours toiling away in your workshop, rivet by rivet, panel by panel, but now it's complete. She's been put through her flight trials, the engine is tuned and electrics checked. The avionics are done, and she's already completed her maiden flight. There is only one thing left to do, and that is where the challenge starts.
Welcome to the Livery Challenge!!
Your job is to give this 'Not an RV-8' a paint scheme!! You will take this completed bird and add some flare to it. Classic racing stripes? Sponsor logos? Acrobatic team design? The decision is yours!!
The Rules:
-Must be a predecessor of this build
-Up to two entries per person
-Overall design must be less that 1k parts
-Pieces of the current build can be replaced, but the plane must retain its current shape ( Will be interpreted by me, ask if you are unsure)
-No changes to the flight characteristics allowed (as in no added speed; the plane flies just fine. Also, this is about the paint, not the plane)
-No Mods
-Must use basic SP paints, no modded shaders
-XML allowed
Tips:
-Make sure if adding panels you set them to 0 weight and 0 drag
-Any added parts should be 0 weight to avoid changing flight characteristics
-Google is your friend!! (Lots of great schemes out there, or come up with your own!!)
-If you have any questions, please ask. I will be happy to work with you
REMEMBER: THIS CHALLENGE IS ABOUT THE PAINT, NOT THE PLANE.

There will be three prizes awarded:
1st - 10 Upvotes and a Spotlight (if possible)
2nd - 7 upvotes
3rd - 5 upvotes
Prizes will be awarded based on the following:
-Overall Creativity (10 pts)
-Maintaining planes shape (5pts)

-Attention to detail (i.e. lettering/logos/decals) (5pts)
-Not altering Planes weight (5 pts)

Cool challenge! I’m going to paint it like a Space Shuttle
picture if part of my build yes I know its not colored well around the outside it was just to keep you from seeing too much

@Carbonfox1 flares would be acceptable, i suppose, but not the prop. This challenge is about the paint, not the plane

I take it im not allowed to like change blade count (affects speed) or add flares and stuff?
