Echo II Class Submarine

Auto Credit Based on MintLynx's Echo II Class Submarine (Basic Armed)

Project 675 Class

Cruise Missile Submarine

Echo II class submarine, an improvement on the preceding version with an emphasis on Anti-Shipping roles. Although it hit some snags I got it working, and gave it some extra details. I decided to go with gyro steering for the missiles since I found that less jerky than the control surface steering of previous missiles I've used. Comes with a new Cannon Based Fire control system which allows for 8 detacher-deployed custom missiles (deployable aircraft in function) to be launched with only 1 AG used. Works quite well! Though it was a lot of work to implement.

Features

  • 1:1 Scale
  • Unlimited Dive and Full Underwater maneuverability.

    1) Throttle for throttle
    2) LandingGear to deploy frontal dive planes
    3) Pitch for Pitch control (just like in plane)
    4) Roll for Rudder control (Turning/yaw)
    5) VTOL for ballast control (up and down)
NOTE: Only Throttle from 80% Up seems to provide power in the engine, apparently just using control surfaces to pitch the props is less effective than using rotators. Use around 80% for slow cruise and put it up to 100 for full speed.

  • 8x P-500 Bazalt Supersonic Anti-Ship Cruise missiles, complete with fully functioning launcher system.

    1) Surface the boat, set VTOL fully up
    2) AG7 to Deploy
    3) Air to Ground Mode
    4) FireWeapons to deploy each missile
    5) Cameras 1-8 to track each missile
    6) Pitch and yaw to maneuver each missile

  • Full set of Masts and conning tower Radar

    1) AG1 to Deploy Periscope
    2) Camera 9 for Periscope view
    3) Yaw for Periscope Swivel
    4) AG2-6 to deploy other masts.
    5) AG7 Rotates front of conning tower and reveals radar.

Your submarines are amazing! Do you think you could try building the AN-2 submarine aircraft carrier? It’s like the AN-1 that you already made, but with a VLS for the planes

@Cheems I'm aware of them, they're very much a shorter, diesel electric powered version of this, at least visually.

Ahoy Lynx, I found a cool submarine much like this. It's called the Juliet Class Submarine.

@Reaper140 Underwater camera mod, though if you have a (good) pc the ocean mod is a better option since it comes with both its own underwater camera and some cool wave customizability!

But how do you get the camera to go underwater?

@Nonamepilot Thanks for the kind words, although I have an idea since I've been making these things for a while.

@Jaspy I got that but the way it sunk and surfaced, I guess I should say the buoyancy aspect was hard for me to grasp. I read his tutorial on sub making and I think I just wasn't doing it right, at least in the buoyancy aspect.

@Jaspy I might. I just am trying to figure out how you actually were able to make it sink so well, I replicated it exactly the same way.

Oh so Thats how it launches the Cruise Missile, It Tilts up the launchers. Damn...
    .
I saw this Sub in "Cold Waters" game and I was Really Confused on how it was supposed to launch the Cruise Missiles if the Launchers are just these "Holes" at the top of the Ship.
