Valéry Giscard is the new flagship of the French Navy (Marine Nationale). The ship is the 11th French aircraft carrier, the Second French nuclear-powered surface vessel, and the second nuclear-powered carrier completed outside of the United States Navy. She is named after Former President, Valéry Giscard d'Estaing.
