The most numerous variant of the Pummeler Fighter, it was a significanlty lightened variant which was faster, more maneuverable and more powerful. It also was the first to include a rack for a drop tank or a Boom 25. It was found to be effective as a ground attack aircraft. When tests revealed that it could carry much more weapons and fuel, it was made into the Pummeler Attack. When the Pummeler Fighter was replaced by the Hawk Fighter, most were converted into Pummeler Attack airplanes. This aircraft was preserved simply because its serial was at the bottom of the list, meaning that it wasn't converted or scrapped like the others.
