RAI RI-2 Flydo

First flown in 1920

BACK STORY:
With the failure of the Gnat, Renston needed to quickly develop a new fighter to replace it. Instead of going for a completely new design, Renston decided to improve the Gnat by simply adding a 3rd wingset making the design a tri-plane. They disgnated the improved air frame as the RI-2 Flydo. While the Flydo was slower than the Gnat, it was a much better dogfighter and was the better solution to counter the P1 Eagle fighters. The Eagle though remained a better overall fighter compared to the RI-2. The RI-2 remained as Banolin's basic light fighter until better fighters were developed. The RI-2's final usage was as a patrol fighter and a trainer.

I actually made this airplane way back right after I made the Gnat but didn't upload it for awhile due to my main company's (PAC) projects such as the Samson Project and the Majestic 24 Project.

Like it's predeccessor, this is another boring airplane that is meant to be flown by the AI as an "enemy" plane. Enjoy using it for target practice!
