Emergency AF-1

Auto Credit Based on Firebird123's President challange

Note: Thrust vectoring was working and now it isn't. I'm leaving TV AG2 on the plane.

Controls: This plane has no Yaw. Roll is operated with Yaw Input for added precision.

AG1: Main engines
AG2: Vertical thrust vector
AG3: Open a2g bay and activate a2g - Countermeasure group 1 - Be sure to slow down first!

AG4: Countermeasure group 2
AG5: Countermeasure group 3
AG6: Taxiing, landing and auxiliary power
AG7: Arresting hook
AG8: Turnable landing gear - Countermeasure group 4

Intro: Due to heightened tensions world-wide, the Secret Service had commissioned an emergency vehicle that could be deployed for evacuations from and urgent transportation through suddenly hostile regions or in case of late detected incoming ICBM.

This vehicle would be a near-future combat-capable aircraft to be primarily piloted by Quantum-powered AI and  signals encryption. One pilot would accompany the President in the unlikely event this vehicle ever be deployed. It would also be remote-piloting capable.

As a fighter or interceptor this craft is flawed, as an escape vehicle it features superior speed and vertical maneuverability, augmented by vertical thrust vectoring.

For a human pilot, thrust vectoring would be used in repeated short bursts when pitching down, as it loses nose stability after one compete loop at maximum Pitch. This can be countered by easing up slightly as the aircraft levels. If the plane loses control after a loop, simply releasing the stick will correct it. There are also issues with wobble when pitching down in non-vectored propulsion, but these issues were deemed acceptable given the mission of the vehicle. This is further ameliorated by the fact that there are no issues while pitching up.

Stability of the aircraft is made possible by the numerous vertical stabilizers. This causes the aircraft to lose any useable yaw influence. This is once again considered an acceptable trade-off given the vehicle's mission. Loss of yaw functionality allows for better precision by moving the controls for Pitch to the Yaw input.

For emergency weaponry, this aircraft features 4 state-of-the-art a2a missiles under its wings and 3 a2g in a container on the underside and two guns near the nose. It is important to note that this aircraft is expected to never need to use its weapons, as once again it is expected to never be needed and even if so, the fighter escort that would accompany it should handle all combat.

The engines are 3DTV capable, though horizontal vectoring is disabled on this plane. This seems to be due to the forward position of the engines as they initially were not designed for this vehicle. It can outrun current generation conventional missiles, and out-maneuver current fighters and interceptors.

In any scenario where this vehicle would be deployed, it would be a low, fast flight to the nearest secure airbase or carrier. It is not intended to be used at high altitudes and loses maneuverability.

The President was all like "YAH! BADASS!"

@ChallengerHellcat Nice to hear from you. Hey, this proves Simulation Theory and I saw all the signs of the Christian Apocalypse in Portland OR (I know right?). Anyway, Sim leaves open all sorts of other religions too. Look at it. Nobody cares. 'bout to go talk shit to some physicists on Twitter. @NNeveryman
