Onyx XM-24-B MBT

790 AuroraPolaris  3.1 years ago

First off, my apologies for not posting anything for a while but in the prior year of the coof and the past few months, I lost my creative drive to come up with anything new that was any good. And secondly, sorry if the photos aren't as good as some of the bigger creators on this site. I've been playing this game since 2015, and I still have no idea how to do fancy text or add my own in-game screenshots.

With that being said, I'm back with my most complex ground vehicle yet, the XM-24-B MBT. The hull is an original of mine and is the most detailed I've made to date, and so is the turret. Modeled after the Leopard 2A7/Swedish Strv-122, the arrowhead armor of this turret isn't hollow but instead solid 'composite armor', or at least as close as you can get in Simple Planes putting the angled cockpit blocks to good use. Powered by a 1500hp gas turbine engine, it remains on par with most NATO MBTs and above average, per its Soviet/Russian counterparts.

This was my creative breakthrough for this year, and it took a while, but it's been worth it. The paneling on the front fenders of the hull was a pain to do but not as bad as adding a stepped roof to the turret using angled cockpit blocks and filling the small void with a triangle-shaped fuselage block.

As for the stats of the tank
