Overview

The Ambush Vehicle based on Toyota Mega Cruiser BXD20 is a custom armed and armored multi-purpose utility 4x4 vehicle, mainly used for both combat and utility. It is equipped with mounted Mk-19 (40mm) automatic grenade launcher as it's main armament.

History (M-War II lore)

Toyota Mega Cruisers have been utilized by a specific faction in every armed force involved in Monarchii War since the first war. A large, heavy-duty four-wheel-drive SUV, its design resembles that of the Hummer H1 and becoming an answer and alternate for the original Hummer Humvee.

Like the Humvee, the Mega Cruiser was originally designed primarily for military use with the vehicle seeing duty as a transport vehicle, especially the BXD10 variant which mainly intended for military use.

The BXD20 variant originally a version made for civilian sales and was available with two roof types, the standard low roof and the optional high roof. Some BXD20 versions also saw service as military vehicles while others were used by prefectural police/fire departments and the Armed Forces. This variant is a custom modified version equipped with mounted turret and gunner hatch. It also more durable and damage resilient thanks to the military-spec armor upgrade.

Operators

Monarchii Royal Army operates Toyota High Mobility Vehicles (mostly BXD10), aside from UAZ-469 utility vehicle. But they also got a handful of BXD20 ambush vehicles in their inventory.

Snowstone National Constabulary mostly operates the modified Toyota BXD20, some used by Snowstone Riot Control Unit by using smoke grenades. Another use is by the Snowstone Department of Fish and Wildlife as their main utility land vehicle.

Diable Defense Enterprise was known to utilized some Toyota Mega Cruisers, both the BXD10 and the modified armed version of BXD20.

Some of the Loyalist also operates the modified BXD20 Ambush Vehicles to fight against the Reformists.
