A-1A

Auto Credit Based on Pilotmario's XA-1A Rancor

An attack craft for the ESR's millitary, it can have upto 26 pylons . . . and is a very powerful attacker.
They are manuverable, and fast . . . although lacking range when not fitted with drop tanks. They also have a 30mm cannon shoved out the nose to allow them to shred tanks.
Enjoy!

@Pilotmario We will take 30 A-1I for P$1,500,000 or 750,000 in ROZ money. we will be using them for testing and comparing them to our aircraft.

@Makcoink My Pummelers are cheaper. The stated prices are merely if they are new-made.

    The A-1B/D is almost free.
The A-1E/F/G is pretty close, since we have thousands of surplus aircraft.
The A-1H/I/K are more expensive, since these are much newer.

We agree with most of that assessment, however, most of the engine components and avionics come from existing attack and transport craft.
The plane is also around €64,000, which is about P$85,000. @Pilotmario

@Makcoink If you want a good attack plane, the Pummeler is a cheap option.

The A-1A Pummeler was a bureaucratic designation for any F-2A Pummelers converted to the A-1 standard. There were very few conversions, and all were converted to the B standard.

The A-1B/D are 1st generation Pummelers, featuring 2,000hp engines and a M2 propeller. The A-1B has 8 12.7mm machine guns in the wings and the A-1D has 4 30mm M8 cannons and 4 12.7mm machine guns in the wings. Both aircraft are otherwise identical.

The A-1E/F/G are 2nd generation Pummelers, and was the Pummeler as used in the GWW2. All three feature lengthened wings, enlarged tail fin, 3,000hp engines, and M3 propeller. All three feature six 30mm M9A1 cannon in the wings. The A-1F adds a pair of extra pylons and the A-1G has an extended canopy.

The A-1H/I/K Pummeler are 3rd generation Pummelers based off the A-1F and feature the most radical changes, including the use of a 4,000hp engine. The A-1H introduces a new wing design, allowing for greater maneuverability, the A-1I features improved handling and the A-1K features tricycle landing gear, freeing up space on the wings formerly taken by landing gear, maximizing the wing space on the Pummeler.

The A-1B/D will set you back P$10,000
The A-1E/F/G will set you back P$30,000
The A-1H/I will set you back P$50,000
The A-1K is not available now, since we are busy equipping it.

If you're wondering about why I didn't mention the A-1J, its because that's our catch-all definition for any Pummeler made in Japan, as they are distinct from regular Pummelers.

If you're worried about parts, know that 60,000 Pummelers of all variants were made. I'm sure it won't be hard to find parts.

The Rancor is a new type, and is likely to cost around P$75,000 or more. It's also a new plane. And that means there isn't a huge cache of parts around the world.

Why not, also, it allows it to shoot more things.
Also, this one doesn't fly like a potato . . .unlike the A-1 (Patrenan). @Makcoink

@PINK I Said it can shoot planes. Isn't designated to, But it can. And who cares? Are you afraid of getting the ESR obliterated like the Unknown NFK?
