SAM 26000 was the first of two Boeing VC-137C United States Air Force aircraft specifically configured and maintained for use by the President of the United States. It used the callsign Air Force One when the President was on board, otherwise SAM 26000 (spoken as 'SAM two-six-thousand'), with SAM indicating 'Special Air Mission.'

A VC-137C with Air Force serial number 62-6000[a], SAM 26000 was a customized Boeing 707. It entered service in 1962 during the administration of John F. Kennedy and was replaced in Presidential service in 1972 but kept as a backup. The aircraft was finally retired in 1998 and is now on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio.
The aircraft was built at Boeing's Renton plant at a cost of $8 million. Raymond Loewy, working with President Kennedy, designed the blue and white color scheme featuring the presidential seal that is still used today.[1] The plane served as the primary means of transportation for three presidents: Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Richard Nixon during his first term. In 1972, during the Nixon administration, the plane was replaced by another 707, SAM 27000, although SAM 26000 was kept as a back-up plane until 1998.

Why the 707? and why Air Force One?

I love the 707, just look at it, its so pretty! its a marvel of the early jet age when TWA and Pan American where still around! also, that black smoke that would flood out of the engines makes the plane look that much cooler! I used smoke mod to make that black smoke of death come out of the engines. this is my most detailed build, mainly because I had a lot of motivation to make this plane look nice. reason being most people don't know about it. in fact, when I posted theses on imgur some people where being quite the ignorant cows saying the plane was insignificant (not just the AF1 version, but all of them). sad people do that but not much I can do.

Now to the Controls!

All controls are normal SP flight controls.
Activation Group 1 will produce the smoke.
Gear is Gear.
I was having issues with XML moding so there is NO Trim.

so I have started making planes for a reason and not because I just want to. that's why I have more pictures of the real plane and not just my plane. Also, what's the point in advertising your plane in the post? unless its fictional, of course. Dwight D. Eisenhower was the first United States President to fly onboard this legendary aircraft. Without him, this "Air Force One" would not be an "Air Force One". also, I have always loved early Boeing aircraft, and I was going to do a pan am but I saw that not many of these have been made on SP, at this scale its the first.
