The HEMTLP Mk. 5 is a variant of the Heavy Expeditionary Mobile Truck Logistics Platform (HEMTLP), configured as a firefighting vehicle for military and expeditionary use. It is intended to provide fire suppression and emergency response capabilities in austere and high-risk environments.

Overview

The Mk. 5 adapts the standard 10×6 HEMTLP chassis to support firefighting and rescue operations at military installations, airfields, and forward operating bases. Its heavy-duty mobility allows it to operate in rough terrain and damaged infrastructure where conventional fire engines may be unable to operate.

Design

The HEMTLP Mk. 5 is equipped with integrated water and foam tanks, high-capacity pumps, and externally mounted firefighting equipment. Depending on configuration, it may carry roof- or bumper-mounted monitors, hose reels, and rescue tools. The cab can be fitted with optional armor to improve crew survivability during operations in hostile environments.

Role

The primary role of the HEMTLP Mk. 5 is emergency response, including aircraft firefighting, structural fires, and rescue operations at expeditionary facilities.
