I did some years ago, even tho guns don't work, it makes for some good air chases. guns do work client side tho, so if you hit the enemy plane, it will be on fire, but only client side.
Well weapons act wierd and stuff so it wouldn't work great. Also you could just pause the game every now and then to throw off your opponent, for them you just stop in mid air.
