Your opinion on challenges?

Interested in knowing what you all think about challenges,
I'm kind of torn
on one hand they're a fun way to compete with others with building planes or are they just a way for someone to get a bunch of points from doing no more than throwing together some words made of blocks

I'm curious because its something I'm guilty of myself where i'd get a 1000 or so points from successors by making a "challenge" and barely doing anything myself.

I remember doing no fuselage challenge, I gained over 2k points due to successor, since I stated a rule that encourage participants to make entries on the successor of my challenge or by tagging me. Funny thing is, I missed out an entry and it deserves the second spot. And I felt so guilt that I don’t wanna held challenge again...

Depends on how you do them. I often see spammy challenges for people not experienced enough to judge builds. But there are also good ones. I myself like to host an occasional challenge. My post with highest number of points is my Trainer Challenge, which scored a total of 11924 points (upvotes + successors). It still gets some occasional points, and might be the top scoring post overall on the site (not sure about that).
